Shimlas Leeds

Today, I visited and ordered the Seekh Kabab and Desi Chicken Karhai. The Seekh Kabab was absolutely delicious—perfectly spiced and grilled to perfection. The naan was served hot and fresh, which made the meal even more enjoyable. However, the Desi Chicken Karhai didn’t quite meet my expectations. It lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for. That said, their representative did mention other karhai options, (Shinwari karhai and Balti Lamb karhai) which I look forward to trying on my next visit. What really stood out was the stunning customer service. Artika (I hope I got her name right) was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and constantly checking in to ensure everything was up to the mark. Her service truly elevated the dining experience. Overall, a good experience, and I will definitely return to try more dishes in the future.

Shocked this place doesn't have more reviews! ordered their Cheesy chicken is DELICIOUS!! If you like tangy stuff, the creamy naga donner is for you! Jasleen was really lovely! HMC as well!

I had a fantastic dining experience at SHIMLAS in leeds ,The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was flavorful and well-presented. The chicken donner and crispy naga wings was a highlight and definitely worth trying and the milk cake is a must try The service was top-notch. The Manager ATHIRA was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal, especially The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality food and great service. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Beautiful restaurant the food was amazing so tasty and plenty of it the atmosphere was wonderful the restaurant deco is stunning the service was fantastic very attentive and helpful would highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back

The restaurant offers an authentic taste of South Asian cuisine. The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking to enjoy genuine South Asian flavours. The prices were reasonable, and they are currently in the process of expanding the space. Hopefully, both floors will be ready in a few months.

Absolutely amazing food. The Kashmiri style rich flavours are very well balanced and genuinely enjoyable. The place is always busy, which reflects its popularity, yet the quality remains consistent. Each dish is full of flavour, served hot, and the portion sizes are generous. Even during busy times, the food maintains a high standard and is well prepared. It is a clear credit to the owners that they consistently deliver good quality food and service. Very few places manage this level of taste and consistency. I hope they continue to maintain this standard so customers know what to expect when they visit. Highly recommended.

Very nice food, had seekh kebab donner, chicken balti and and Kheer. Chicken balti was very very nice standout and the Kheer also. Seekh kebab is always good. Service is great and we got served by lovely lady Atika or Atira.

Probably the best chicken curry I've had in Leeds for this price. We ordered two varieties, they were equally as good and very different in taste. Everything was done from scratch and of very high quality. Good service, decent price, good size portions. It takes around 25 minutes for them to prepare the curry, not the place to go if you're in a rush but the place to go if you don't want a pre-prepared dish. The only complaint is that there's nowhere to park, and if there is, it's not sign-posted.
